FAQ

Senesly features & how it works

Senesly is an AI interview assistant with real-time support on live calls, resume-grounded answers, Code Mode for coding screens, MCQ mode for assessments, and invisible notes—for interviews, office meetings, and creators recording with screen share. More than 5,000 users have opted in; the fastest way to judge it is one mock interview with the desktop app.

Real-time interview support

How Senesly listens on live calls and delivers instant, context-aware answers without joining as a bot.

How does Senesly help during a live interview?

Senesly is built for real-time interview support on Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams. It focuses on what the interviewer asks and surfaces instant, context-aware answer prompts on your screen so you can respond naturally—without adding a bot to the call or interrupting the conversation.

Does Senesly listen to the interviewer or only read my screen?

For live interviews, Senesly is optimized to pick up the interviewer’s questions from your system audio and respond in the moment. For coding rounds you can switch to Code Mode so it also reads the problem on your screen. You choose the mode that matches the round.

Resume-grounded answers

Upload your CV so behavioral and experience questions sound like you—not generic AI.

Why should I upload my resume to Senesly?

When you upload your resume, Senesly grounds answers in your real skills, employers, projects, and metrics. Behavioral questions (“Tell me about a time…”) and role-fit questions sound aligned with your experience instead of generic AI text.

Coding rounds & Code Mode

Screen analysis for DSA and technical screens on HackerRank, CoderPad, and shared editors.

What is Code Mode for coding interviews?

Code Mode turns on screen analysis for technical rounds. Point Senesly at the shared problem—LeetCode-style prompts, HackerRank, CoderPad, or a whiteboard screenshot—and it can read the question and suggest an approach plus solution structure while staying on your machine only.

Can Senesly understand the coding question on my screen?

Yes. In Code Mode, Senesly analyzes what is visible on your display—the problem statement, constraints, and examples—and helps with approach and code direction. It is designed for live coding screens, not just voice-only Q&A.

MCQ mode

Fast help for multiple-choice and timed assessment questions.

What is MCQ mode in Senesly?

MCQ mode is for multiple-choice and timed assessment flows where you need a fast read on the question and options. Switch modes when the interview shifts from open conversation to quick-select tests so you are not juggling the wrong tool mid-round.

Invisible notes

Private on-screen notes for interviews, meetings, and creators—hidden from screen share and recording.

What are Senesly’s invisible notes?

Invisible notes are a private notepad inside the Senesly desktop overlay—talking points, scripts, follow-ups, and bullet answers that stay on your screen only. They are built to stay hidden from screen share and typical recording capture, so you can reference them while you look at the camera or the meeting window.

Can YouTubers use Senesly to read a script while screen recording?

Yes. Creators use invisible notes as a lightweight teleprompter: paste your script or outline, record your tutorial or talking-head video, and read from the overlay without showing notes in the capture. The same feature works for office meetings when you want agenda bullets or stakeholder names in view—but not on the shared screen.

How do invisible notes help in office meetings vs interviews?

In interviews, notes hold STAR bullets, company research, and questions to ask. In internal meetings, they hold agenda items, metrics, and names. In both cases the notes stay in Senesly’s private overlay—useful for you, not broadcast to everyone on the call.

Desktop app & privacy

Lightweight overlay for Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams.

How does the Senesly desktop app stay private on a call?

Senesly runs as a lightweight desktop application with a private overlay on your computer. It does not join Zoom, Meet, or Teams as a participant. You get real-time assistance on your screen while the meeting continues normally for everyone else.

What does invisible or undetectable interview software mean?

On Senesly it means the overlay is designed to stay hidden from screen share, hidden from Dock and the taskbar on supported setups, and easy to collapse in one tap. It does not mean disguising your cursor or renaming system processes.

Does Senesly join my meeting as a participant or bot?

No. Senesly never joins the meeting link as a bot or guest recorder. Everything runs locally in the desktop app. That is why it works as real-time support without an extra tile in the participant list.

Which platforms does Senesly work with?

Use Senesly alongside Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and browser-based interview platforms (HackerRank, CoderPad, CodeSignal, and similar). Download the macOS or Windows app from the download page.

Is Senesly secure?

Senesly uses encrypted transport for account and API data. Your overlay and notes stay on your device during the call. Review the privacy policy for retention details; paid support is available at support@senesly.com.
